Sustainable farming
Kitchen gardens and harvest support
Seeds, tools and practical training for rural households, together with better drying and sorting so that a harvest fetches what it is actually worth.
A household that eats twice a day instead of once is a household where counselling has somewhere to land. Food security is not separate from healing; it is the ground healing stands on.
We start with a kitchen garden: a planted bed close to the house, chosen for crops that mature quickly and keep producing. Households growing coffee or beans for sale get help with the part of the work that quietly decides the price — drying on a raised table rather than on the ground, and sorting properly before it goes to the cooperative.
Who this reaches first
Widows farming alone, and grandmothers raising grandchildren. They have land and they have the skill. What they do not have is the seed, the tools, or anybody to work the plot with them.
