What we do with your information

The short version

We collect as little as we can. We do not sell anything to anyone, we do not run advertising trackers, and this site sets no cookies.

The contact form

What you type into the contact form is emailed to Shalom Rwanda Inc. and nowhere else. We use your email address to reply to you, and for nothing else. We keep the message for as long as the conversation is useful and then delete it.

The newsletter

If you sign up, we keep your email address so we can send you the newsletter. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and we remove the address as soon as you use it. We do not share the list.

Donations

Donations are processed by PayPal. Your card and bank details are entered on PayPal’s own pages and are never sent to, seen by, or stored on this website. What we receive from PayPal is the donor’s name, email address and the amount, so that we can thank you and issue a receipt. PayPal’s privacy policy covers what they do with the rest.

Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics to count page views. It is cookieless, it does not track you between sites, and it does not collect anything that identifies you personally. That is also why this site has no cookie banner: there are no cookies to ask you about.

Photographs

The people in the photographs on this site are participants in our programmes. We ask before we photograph anyone, and we remove an image on request. If you are in a photograph here and would rather not be, write to us and it comes down.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to info@shalomrwanda.org and we will do it.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of the page. If the change is significant, we will say so in the newsletter.
