A practical day on the plot: bed preparation, crop choice for quick maturity, and building a raised drying table that pays for itself in one season.

A full day on the plot rather than in a room. Participants prepared a bed, planted it, and built a raised drying table between them.
Thirty-two households took part. Most went home with seed.
